The jury has returned, having deliberated only long enough to get one more free meal at the state's expense, and the verdict has been read; BEYOND A REASONABLE DOUBT is guilty of being one of the best yellow unusual forms I have grown.  Although Ned Roberts was fond of saying we didn't need any more yellow unusual forms and spiders, one can't help but notice that it didn't stop him from continuing to introduce them. The decision to introduce BEYOND A REASONABLE DOUBT was made with the conviction that Ned too would have introduced it had it appeared in his seedling beds instead of mine.   Moderately fertile both ways.
