GREY WOLF is greyed purple self with a darker eye and a white midrib with green throat. One often sees grayish blooms on cool mornings, frequently with seedlings with Trahylta in their background, but I have never seen a daylily this grey on a consistent basis regardless of weather conditions. However, like many Trahlyta based cultivars, the grey will deepen by noon on sunny days. Nevertheless, the color of this flower is truly special in the morning.
