ONE CAT TOO MANY
Bret Clement 2008
Diploid, Dormant, Mid., 6", 42" Height, 4 Way Branching, 20 Budcount.
(Cerulean Star x Planet Max)
Several years ago I returned from the AHS fall board meeting and discovered that the cat population in our household had increased by one. When my wife asked me what we should name the new cat, my response was "how about, One Cat Too Many" Well I didn't get to name the cat, but I get to name my flowers. It is a pale lavender although the color does not show well in the photos. All of my photos of it were taken in full sun, because like some unusual forms, the crispation develops as the day goes on, with the form being far more crispate at noon compared to 8 a.m... Like this year's intro, PRAY FOR RAIN, ONE CAT TOO MANY flew under the radar until it reached clump size and then it exploded onto the radar screen in all of its glory. As a result, its genetic potential is more or less untapped. From the limited use I have made of it, it is at least moderately fertile both ways. In addition, ONE CAT TOO MANY increases more rapidly than the cat population of my household and the lower introduction price is indicative only of the quantity of it that I have on hand.
