Knowing my penchant for using cats in my names, our registrar, Kevin Walek suggested that I use the name Raining Cats and Dogs. I suggested eliminating the “and dogs” and then it occurred to me that changing the spelling of raining to reigning gave rise to a different meaning that any cat owner would understand fully. Reigning Cats is a superb example of the cascade form. It is not an early morning opener as it gradually opens and does not show the form exhibited in the photo until late morning.
